| The Still Point I am breathing feeling little winds whiz by my nostrils filling brittle me with sap and sound. My thoughts reel out to a pool where your voice, finny, swimming, catches in my webby net, to wait for the phone card that I borrowed needing, knowing. Thus I heard you from the hall, where Jesuits once worshipped Jesus; now Ganesha dances with blue-faced gods in the Sanctuary where I stretch gently reeling in my thoughts again. This is where I breathe, waiting at the still point for news. |
